FestivALT - A New Concert Celebration

In celebrartion of FestivALL Ten, FestivALT is a new outdoor concert at Appalachian Power Park featuring The Drive-By Truckers, Carolina Chocolate Drops and more. Gates open at 5pm on Saturday, June 21 and music starts at 6pm.

The Kanawha County Humane Association Howl-o-Ween Pet Purr-Ade and Costume Contest

Enter your own pet, or come out and just enjoy the fun of this "Purr-Ade" to benefit animals at the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association. Parade starts at 11AM with registration beginning at 10AM. Paw-Some costumes, local animal welfare groups, homemade pet treats, giveaways for KCHA members, pumpkin painting, spay/neuter vouchers and more!

$5 for KCHA members
$10 for non-KCHA members
*All animals must be current on vaccinations 


Take a beautiful "walk in the country" in the city on the Sunrise Carriage Trail Leaf Walk with music and theater. Admire the fall foliage and enjoy costumed actors doing family friendly vignettes along the way including members of the Limelight Theatre Company, The Theatre Project from the Children’s Theatre of Charleston and The Alban Arts Academy Acting Troupe. There will also be music by the


Starting at UC Stadium, The Run Like Hell Zombie 5K Run/Walk is a unique after dark road race that is sure to be the most thrilling 5K experience of your life. East End Main Street is partnering with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to bring this unique experience to Charleston, all while raising money to support vital research, medical, and educational programs in honor of Lindsay Anne Strader.

Come in your best zombie get up and take over the streets of the East End Historic District. The walk will end in a pub crawl and street party on Elizabeth Street.

This event is free and open to all ages. Participants wishing to join in the street party and pub crawl must be 21 years of age and pay a $20 admission fee. Visit for more details.
